Only a deep cleaning can remove it and prevent it from turning into tartar that can only be removed by the dentist.<\/p><p>We recommend this cleaning session at least once a year, more frequently in patients who tend to accumulate a lot of tartar. Generally, except for a few cases, it does not require anesthesia and can even be performed in two sessions (in sensitive patients, one arch at a time).<\/p><p>In our clinic, we perform <strong>PROPHYLAXIS<\/strong> (Dental Hygiene) with manual and\/or ultrasonic instruments and with sodium bicarbonate jets <strong>(PROPHYFLEX)<\/strong>.
