TEETHAN is an innovative ITALIAN digital tool capable of detecting the scientific parameters of occlusal balance in a simple, fast, and non-invasive way.
This information, important for the patient’s well-being, is not detectable with traditional methods and allows us to measure the BALANCE OF DENTAL OCCLUSION.
Why is this occlusal balance important?
Correct occlusal registration is a KEY factor for the SUCCESS of a rehabilitation treatment (Implant-prosthesis).
Correct registration of the occlusal balance through muscle functionality reduces the adjustment times of the prosthesis and gives us the possibility of performing comfortable and precise treatments.
How does TEETHAN work?
Four small wireless probes are applied to the face, corresponding to the temporal and masseter muscles. The patient performs teeth-clenching tests 3 times for 5 seconds. The probes collect electrical signals produced by muscle activity and send them to the computer, which processes them instantly. The data acquired reveal imbalances that may be a consequence or origin of headaches and joint and muscle pain (neck).
It is a device used in Prosthetics, Gnathology, Orthodontics, and postural disorders, and represents an innovative and extraordinarily USEFUL diagnostic tool.
